The third Thursday sounds like a great idea for an open zoom time.
Note that inside this website you can send messages to people without revealing your email address, if that is something you would like to keep private.
It would be great for others to post their thoughts here in this forum about the benefits they would like to receive from participating in a general assembly open zoom time on the third Thursday off the month.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I think it would be an excellent way to increase community participation. If the Commons is to function and survive it needs community members to participate in its day to day functions.</p>
If the assembly becomes a place where community members solely voice their opinions and what they want to see done without volunteering to do the work than it will only create a bigger problem for the Initiating Committee. We need more people who want to do something and not more people who want to state what they want to see done.
The General Assembly meeting should be organized in a way that it facilitates participation. The one who voices the concern is the one who steps up to lead the project. The people need to understand what a Commons is, a community led non government entity and the community needs to step up to run it.
@bonniebeth it looks like you wrote your information somewhere else and then copied in pasted it into the website. If you look, you will see formatting tags that are displayed. It is best to write directly into the website. If you write with another tool, tried converting it to play text before you copy and paste it into the website.
