What Can You Donate?

Donations don't have to be strictly monetary! The commons is about bringing together communal, pooled resources and using them support the people of the community.

TIME

Your time as a volunteer is always meaningful and useful! You can share your time at a community event or a volunteer day.

Services

You can share your services with community events as well as individual commons members to give support to all.

Talent

Sharing your personal talents can be anything from performing at events to graphic design for small businesses.

Useful Items

Anything can be useful when in the right hands! Items like tables and chairs can be used in a multitude of settings!

Money

Monetary donations are a great gift as it can be used in many setting to support whatever need is pressing no matter the occasion.

Gifts

Special gifts like chalk or board games for children's areas at events will always find their way to those who can use it.

Library Green Conservancy is acting as the 501c3 fiscal agent for the Ann Arbor Community Commons.

Monetary donations are accepted by the Library Green Conservancy on behalf of the Ann Arbor Community Commons. All donations given for the Community Commons as well as the Initiating Committee will be given to the Initiating Committee to use in the formation and maintenance of the commons.

The right technology — and funding in the right places — can make a big difference for everything you care about in the world. Including helping people who need help the most.

General Querries!

You can make arrangements with local Initiating Committee members to safely make donations in person. You can also make arrangements to meet at community events hosted on the commons, or give monetary donations at the Community Commons table at the community events!

The Initiating Committee is in the process of making the center of the city lot into a safe social space to host community events. At this time monetary donations are being used to facilitate the necessary steps to make changes to the physical space as well as make arrangements to host events responsibly.

By connecting with the Initiating Committee here or in person you can chose how you would like to donate your service based on the current needs of the Ann Arbor Community Commons. For example if you offer web site design you could donate your service by helping a local business to set up their website. 

Physical items are held by the Initiating Committee members on behalf of the commons. Permanent storage for Community Commons items is in the works!
