EARTH DAY APRIL 22, 2024

EARTH DAY 2024

11th Annual Celebration

April 20-22nd, 2024

Center of the City Commons, ANN ARBOR MI

About the Event

April 20-22nd
Saturday Sunday Monday

INVITATION to ALL involved in the Ann Arbor BiCentennial Celebrations, and you are invited also to spread the INVITATION.

Earth Days are a time for creating community and recognizing our common responsibility of the earth and repairing so much out of balance.

Community groups are asked to show and tell their good works, including yourself, should you have work to share to help inspire a sustainable future.

Mainly, Earth Days are  opportunities for community gathering and sociability and meeting one another.  There will be some tables and chairs and opportunities for conversation.

Collecting Medical Supplies for Tanzania

A major activity will be filling a container with donations of needed medical supplies for an emergency clinic in Tanzania…giving some expression to global solidarity and generosity.

Music and Voices from the People

“Rare Earth” will headline the music with other great bands and voices.

About the Event

The Commons will also be hosting an Earth Day program, as we have annually since 2014.

The event will be cultivated by the community, and the public is welcome and encouraged to join in helping to plan for the event. The event will be open to the public, free, and family friendly.

Despite inclement weather on Earth Day 2023, the Ann Arbor Community Commons Initiating Committee held a successful event in May called “Earth Day… Blooming” where the community came together to celebrate Earth Day in Ann Arbor.
